Terms of Service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Scamp! Discord bot and the website at scamp.wtf (together, “Scamp!”). By adding Scamp! to a server, using its features, or signing in to the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Scamp!.
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Using Scamp!
- You must be old enough to use Discord (at least 13, or older where local law says so).
- You must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines whenever you use Scamp!.
- Scamp! is free to use. A few extra features need Premium, described below.
If you run a server
If you add Scamp! to a server or configure it there, you are responsible for how it is used in that server. In particular:
- the settings, messages, roles and permissions you set up, and the actions your staff take through Scamp!, such as bans, timeouts and decisions on applications;
- letting your members know about features that record what they do, such as ticket transcripts, logging, incident reports and polls that show who voted;
- making sure Scamp! has only the access your server needs.
What you must not do
- Use Scamp! to harass, threaten, spam or harm anyone, or for anything illegal.
- Try to get around Scamp!’s permissions, see data you are not allowed to see, or reach another server’s data.
- Try to overload, disrupt or break Scamp!, or look for weaknesses in it, other than by reporting a problem to us.
- Pretend to be Scamp! or to speak on its behalf.
If you find a security problem, please tell us privately through the Scamp! support server rather than sharing it publicly.
Your content
Anything you or your server put into Scamp! — messages, answers, settings, images — stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Scamp! for you and your server.
Scamp! is in active development
Scamp! is provided “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be interruptions or mistakes. We do our best to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, so please do not rely on it as the only copy of anything important.
Premium
- Premium is paid for by supporting Scamp! on Patreon. Payments, cancellations and refunds are handled by Patreon under its own terms.
- One pledge gives Premium to one server, which you choose on our Premium page. Once chosen it cannot be changed, moved to another server, or passed to another person.
- Premium lasts while Patreon reports your pledge as paid. If you cancel, it continues until the end of the time you have already paid for. If a payment fails, it stops straight away. If you pledge again later, you choose a server again.
- When Premium ends, nothing already set up stops working; the server just cannot start new Premium things or go past the free limits.
- We may change what Premium includes as Scamp! develops. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Stopping use
You can stop using Scamp! at any time by removing it from your server or signing out of the website. We may stop providing Scamp! to a server or a person who breaks these terms or Discord’s rules, or if we need to in order to protect Scamp! or its users. We may also stop running Scamp! altogether; if we do, we will try to give notice in the Scamp! support server.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of Scamp!, including lost data, actions taken in a server through Scamp!, or Scamp! being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Other services
Scamp! is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Discord, Patreon, Twitch or Kick. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and announce significant changes in the Scamp! support server. Continuing to use Scamp! after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts can hear any dispute about them. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may instead bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you live outside the UK, these terms do not take away any protection the law where you live gives you.
